Charlotte Tilbury Mystery Summer Box 2020

Charlotte Tilbury comes out with a mystery box 2 to 3 times year.

Sometimes you can choose from two boxes with two different price tags; One will be like $75 with a $150 Value or a $200 one with a $350 value, you get the point.

This time the summer mystery box was $195 with at least a $388.00 value with 9 full sized products and this one actually showed 2 of the items.

I have bought two in the past and the last was older products or products it seemed no one was buying.

I was a bit skeptical to buy the summer one but figured this would be the last time I purchased one if it was a dud.

I have never seen a sticker on the mystery boxes in the past

All the goodies

Upon first look I wasn't wowed by the box but let me explain!

If you have a lot of Charlotte Tilbury products like I do,  you will most likely be getting dupes.

Indeed a few items are duplicates from previous purchases or boxes.

There is a good and bad to this particular box.

Charlotte Tilbury is by far one of favorite high end brands of makeup and I do love mostly everything I have tried her line.

Overall I was personally pleased with this box and would say this is the best mystery box I have received from Charlotte Tilbury thus far.

This particular box would be a great box for people who do not have many of Charlotte's products.

Now onto why I am a little disappointed with it.

The colors in the box are definitely geared towards people with lighter complexions.

You can see by all the swatches above.

I would have been extremely disappointed if I had a darker complexion.

I am actually a little surprised there were no shade options , you know light to medium or tan to dark.

In the future I hope charlotte Tilbury will do better and come out with shade choices as stated above, because the selection in products are great but the color choices not so much.

The value of the box is a little under $400 and with the free gifts with purchase it brings the value over $400.

What do you think about the box??

Let me know your thoughts??

XOXO,

Vicki

My Vacation must haves, June 2020 Edition

Things are finally starting to open up again after 3 months of shelter in place here in the bay area.

It is time to take a mini weekend get away and get some different scenery.

Here are a few of my must haves.

First is my newest cute personalized tote bag and wristlet from Helene Thomas, I purchased here.  I am absolutely obsessed to say the least.

Now, on to the goods inside!

1) Nars Orgasm X which is seriously drool worthy. The best blush I have used in several months. It is bright and vibrant and it can also be used very light for a little coral flush on the cheeks

2) Doll 10; Doll skin Anti-stress skin protector. I bought medium first and didn't love the undertone so I thought I would give light/medium a go and I absolutely love how it brightens my face. So now I just miss them.

3) Doll 10 Golden pearl body and face bronzer. I use it on my face only and it is a red toned bronzer which I love and it definitely gives you the "being in the sun" affect without looking burnt or orange.

4) Charlotte Tilbury eye palette in Charlotte Darling, which is just a gorgeous natural everyday look.

5) Buxom power plump lip balm in Big O, which gives your lips an amazing cooling effect and brings out the natural flush of color. (Obsessed!!) I want more shades now!

6) By Terry; Baume De Rose lip care one of the best lip moisturizers in my opinion. It is slightly scented with Rose.

7)  By Terry; Baume De Rose hand cream, which is a great hand cream and has the rose scent.

My Little Baby Roxie even loved my new tote bag.

My Helene Thomas bag and wristlet!

What are some of your travel must haves? Any plans to get away anytime soon?

I would love to here about them?

XOXO,

Vicki

Charlotte Tilbury Super Blue Luxury Palette Review and Swatches

Charlotte Tilbury recently released four new quads to her line, well actually only 3 but for some reason the 4th quad was just renamed.

They are all made to enhance Brown, Blue, Hazel and Green eyes depending on what shade you get.
I got Super Blue which is the one to enhance brown eyes, but you can wear any color of shadow no matter what color your eyes are.

Super Blue stood out to me the most, not just because it was meant for brown eyes, but also because it was the only one of the new quads that seemed different than any of her previous palettes or shadows.

The quad is absolutely gorgeous! I mean just look at the colors, right?
Look at the sparkling blue, drool worthy for sure.

Well just keep reading :)

Shade 1 prime, 2 enhance, 4 Pop, 3 smoke ( yes 3 and 4 are backwards)

Here are all the colors swatched and that gorgeous sparkly blue is not at all gorgeous looking as it is in the pan.  (  Sigh )

The lighter colors are pretty and blend well.   3 which is the dark blue shade shows a little bit darker on the lid and has quite a bit of kick up, and 4 which is enhanced, still does not show up as well as it looks in the pan.

I will probably keep it just to add it to my Charlotte Tilbury collection but if you are not a collector you can pass.

Retail is $53.00 for each quad, but I was lucky to get it for 25% off from Bergdorf's  when it was on sale a few weeks ago.

Did you get this? Tell me your thoughts?

XOXO,

Vicki
